YOUTHFUL REBELS WITH OLD SOULS
In 2016 the Electric Avenue duo was formed in Zeeland. Guitarist Mark Sturm (23) and singer-songwriter Frédérique Nobel (18) found each other through their music. Being able to share doing what they love, makes their connection strong, which is visible on stage as well.
They both had a passion for music before they met. Mark has over 10 years of experience playing the guitar and Frederique spend her days composing songs and singing.
Electric Avenue started out playing acoustic covers, mostly classics from the ‘60’s/’70’s but the youngsters started working on their own material recently as well.
It wasn’t too difficult to find out what the genre would be when they started composing songs together. They both wanted to go in the same direction with their music. Pop-rock with a nod to the classics is what they do best.
Mark has a rough and fluent way of playing his guitar. In contrast to this rock ‘n roll feeling, Frédérique has a soft, sweet voice with an edge. This opposition creates an unique balance between the two.
They are young and very enthusiastic about what the future will hold, something The Last Rebel can only welcome!
